eCollective founders, Becks Brockwell and Hylke Knoop, met at university where they were studying for agricultural degrees. They both embarked on a career largely in the animal health sector. Then in 2016, having both come away from roles in the digital space, Becks and Hylke realised there was a real need for digital resource in the animal health sector.
The main reasons for this:
- a lack of digitally experienced marketeers
- a lack of specialist knowledge
- the impact of the sector’s complex regulations on things like social media
They took the leap into starting out together and eCollective was born.
Why our associate model adds value for our clients
“Although there is a trend towards more flexible working, we felt there was still a lack of real change in the industry in terms of how people work - and how it can best drive value for clients,” explains Hylke.
eCollective operates an associate model - finding the right people, regardless of location - and making the model work through good resource planning and lots of communication. As long as it’s powered by self-motivators, the model has provided real disruption in the marketing agency space. Without the office overheads, the value the client can expect for the cost is a lot higher.
“Today we work with a great international team; they bring incredible knowledge, experience and resource into everything we do," says Becks.
"They were chosen for who they are and not whether they are close to an office, and it shows. We love what we do, and we love the relationship we have together and with our clients. That is where our real work satisfaction comes from.”
I have been working with eCollective for 3 years now and have never been disappointed. All colleagues take any project big or small to heart – I trust them.Geoffrey Guyot, Brand Technical Adviser, Boehringer Ingelheim
